What you wish for a family to be:Joint or nucleus family?

In the changed socio-economic infrastructure today’s most popular motto is ‘nucleus family is a lucky family’. Amidst the monotonous fast track life joint families have already been destroyed. Though in the villages where the techno based lifestyle has not yet gained its hold, joint families are seen very rare. There are many individuals who can cite a handful of instances which go against the fame of joint family but it is quite obvious that there is something in it's concept which has grown ages ago: as the first unit of human folk which has later developed into concept of a state. In the prehistoric age it was such families that kept the wheel of progress running. But gone are those days when being grown up in those families where our forefathers acquired virtues like selflessness, sacrifice and so on.
In today’s nuclear family too there are advantages. Being comprised of mainly 3 or 4 members, it provides everyone to lead much lavish lifestyle. Some say it as the disadvantage of joint family that 'you don't have as much privacy and their may be bickering in the house!!'.But these can’t outshine the virtues of joint families as it doesn't breed selfishness-a sin in a nuclear family.
But all these moral talks and lectures are the talk of past!! The whole equation needs to be changed and perception must be broader according to changing times.......Most parents wants their children to become or achieve something big in their life and to pursue one's dream many of them move away from the core.....there they are infused with the new culture, living style, etc. But when they return most have a compatibility problem with the huge audience within the family though sometimes it is the one to blame.
Adaptability, patience, sacrifice are some tuff words to punch them together, but when it does life becomes so much easy to be dealt with. Each family depends on the people who make it and it now depends solely on us on who our perspective will be.....
