“Kill me... what are you waiting for?”
She closed her eyes waiting for the
inevitable to happen.
What was her fault? She had done
no harm to anyone. She had a normal life, happy and like an angel to many.
Maybe fate had something else in mind. The
plan of the universe!
Glasses crackled, room rattled and
there was a sudden pressure and then dead silence with everything moving in
slow motion.

Anand: “How about Thursday?”
Nishita: “Why does it have to be Thursday?”
Anand: “What’s wrong with Thursday?”
Nishita: “Mom tells me that we should not go out on Thursdays.”
Anand: “Oh common; it’s your mom now? In coming year we would be together
and...”
Nishita: “And...So? She would still be my mom right?”
Anand: “Okay okay...Saturday then”
Nishita: “Na...Saturday too is a problem”
Anand: “Now what is wrong here? it’s the biggest day of the weekend”
Nishita: “Actually that’s ‘veg’ day!”
Anand: “Seriously?”
Nishita: “Yup”
Anand: “Do you even want to go?”
Nishita: “Yup”
Anand: “This is getting annoying...When?”
Nishita: “How about now?”
Anand: “Now? umm... I mean nn...nn...now?”
Nishita: “Yeah now...look up...it’s beautiful”
Anand: “It is late you know....won’t your mom be...”
Nishita: “Oh shut yup...my mom now?”
Anand bows his head down smiling
and says
“Yes madam”

The Disco lights had engulfed the whole floor. The night was
young, and why not? The party must go on!
Scavenging the whole floor he sat down looking at his watch
and then signalling the bartender.
“One Scotch; Large!”
“Nice choice...I would
have a beer though” dressed in stark black outfit, the client seemed relaxed
yet in some hurry. He continued...
“You know what to do right?”
The man replies: “Until you hold on to your part of the
deal”
Client (smiling) “It’s a deal then...so when are you
planning to begin?”
“It has started already”

Tears dropped down her cheeks one last time. She could
hardly speak but yet mustered out
“Why?”
The shadow...it
looked at her for a brief time till she finally closed her eyes.
Pitch black night; the only sound heard are the howling of
the wolves and the disturbing sound of the laughter was echoing the room.
