Thunderous claps…claps
that one could hear from across the hall.
His cellphone
rang showing a message: “Dude where you
are?”
"Man...no time at all!"
“Sir, Identity please” the robust security guard stopped him midway.
“Sir, Identity please” the robust security guard stopped him midway.
Six foot…nope, definitely
more than that. He looked up to the security guard.
“Oh common now, I am in the list”
“Identity Please”, the
guard asserted.
“Uhh…now where did I keep my Id?”
Guard: “Sir, if you have no id then I am afraid I
can’t allow you to pass!”
“Yeah yeah…just a moment”
Searching deep
in his pockets, he fumbled to get out his id card resulting in spilling some
more stuffs from his pocket.
“There there…oh wait…no no…this one…yes…this one…this
is my ID card”
“Hmmm” the guard took a
closer look at the id and then a sharp look at him and said: “You can pass now”
“Great”
Guard: “You do have an uncanny resemblance”
Amazed at this
statement he said “It took you this much
time to get it? You could have let me in sooner!”
Guard: “We got to do our jobs”
“Yeah…ok….anyway I am late now”
He ran for the
entrance; maybe even to barge in the door if that requires, “I cannot miss this”
“….and so it is my great honour to welcome our
esteemed guest…”
“Sweet…just in time” he felt accomplished to reach just in time..."phew"
Claps,
thunderous claps spread across the hall, echoing the hallway.

“Nice Shot” Mr.
Verma was amused and impressed at the same time.
“Thanks” he said.
Mr. Verma: “Boy, you have got some eyes…five out of
five huh”
Him (smiling): “I have had a good teacher”
At this they
both share a good laugh.
“Ray!”
Tripti was now
ready for him.
Tripti: “Umm..are you planning to stand here all day?”
Ray: “Oh…I was thinking of spending time with dad”
Tripti: ”That’s my dad…not yours!”
Ray: “not yet”
Mr.
Verma(laughing): “You two…oh…I am so
proud of you”
Tripti: “Aww…common now,hugs please”
Ray came closer
whispering to her “Did you tell him?”
Tripti: “Shh…not now!”
The walls seemed
creeping in as tears rolled down her cheeks when she looked at the old picture
of the three together. Memories! The one she cherished has become a nightmare
for her now.

“You didn’t have to kill the dog” the client sounded unhappy.
“What’s with the dog? I hate them” he asserted his choice of actions.
Taken a bit
aback, the client controlled his aggression and says: “So is it done? Did you get it?”
Smiling he
replies “We are close….very close”
